Vaccinology: Science and Public Health is a 5-day short course combined with a symposium held in Nagasaki, Japan. It is run jointly by the School of Tropical Medicine and Global Health, Nagasaki University (TMGH) and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), in collaboration with the Nagasaki University Vaccine Research and Development Center (VRDC) – DEJIMA Infectious Disease Research Alliance, the Nagasaki University Global Health, World-leading Innovative & Smart Education programme (WISE), the Japan Institute for Health Security (JIHS), and International Vaccine Institute (IVI).

It includes didactic and interactive sessions and a symposium.

  • The Symposium is included in the Course and is open to the public
  • Anyone who do not attend the Course can join the Symposium for free, but independent application for the Symposium is required
  • Students accepted to the Course will be automatically registered to the Symposium without independent application
