The East Africa Centre for Vaccines and Immunization (ECAVI) is a NOT-FOR-PROFIT initiative of health professionals, working with Paediatric and Medical Associations, to promote Advocacy, Training, Research and Strengthening of immunization health systems in Eastern Africa.
ECAVI is fully registered as a Non-Governmental Organization in both Kenya and Uganda, and promotes improved uptake and training on new and available vaccines; towards the control of morbidity and mortality associated with vaccine preventable diseases and cancers. ECAVI closely with sponsors, partners and collaborators to organize the annual vaccinology course that has now trained over 750 health workers across 7 editions from over 20 countries and equipped them to be agents of change and champions for immunization in their localities.
